White House Kitchen Garden Tours

Due to staffing reductions resulting from sequestration, we regret to inform you that White House Tours, including Kitchen Garden Tours, will be canceled effective Saturday, March 9, 2013 until further notice.  Unfortunately, we will not be able to reschedule affected tours.

We very much regret having to take this action, particularly during the popular Spring touring season.   For updates regarding this situation, please contact the White House Visitors Office 24 Hour Hotline at (202) 456-7041.

Sincerely,

The White House Visitors Office

Tours of the White House Kitchen Garden are available to elementary, middle or high school students on a first-come first-served basis most Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:30am. Tours consist of a group of up to 30 students with a maximum of 1 chaperone for every 7 students. Please fill out the brief application below and a representative from the White House will be in touch to inform you of the tour status.

Please note: At this time tours are limited to local area schools. Requests can be submitted up to three months in advance and no less than 30 days in advance. You are encouraged to submit your request as early as possible since a limited number of tours are available. Tours consist of a guided viewing and explanation of the White House Kitchen Garden and will not include a visit inside the White House. Click here for more information on White House tours.
