Meredith DeFraites is the Staff Director for the Office of Demand Reduction within the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). ONDCP is responsible for coordinating all aspects of Federal drug control policy and for ensuring a balanced, comprehensive, and effective strategy to address the complex public health and safety challenges associated with substance abuse. Ms. DeFraites has been with ONDCP since 2007, and has previously served as a Policy Analyst in the Office of Performance and Budget and a Policy Advisor in the Office of the Director.

Ms. DeFraites received her JD at Ave Maria School of Law and her BA from Louisiana State University, with a double major in Religious Studies and English Literature.
