Jennifer de Vallance is the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP). ONDCP is responsible for coordinating all aspects of Federal drug control policy and for ensuring a balanced, comprehensive, and effective strategy to address the complex public health and safety challenges associated with substance abuse. Ms. de Vallance has been with ONDCP since 2000, and has previously served as the agency’s Press Secretary.
Prior to joining ONDCP, Ms. de Vallance was Senior Legislative Counsel at the National League of Cities, responsible for health care policy, and before to coming to Washington, she was Special Assistant to the Mayor of Phoenix. In that capacity, she helped develop and implement an initiative to prevent and address violence against women, as well as a teacher scholarship program.
Ms. de Vallance received her MA in Public Communication from American University and her BA from the University of California at Davis, with a double major in International Relations and Political Science.
