The White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, along with the Veterans and CNCS Faith/Neighborhood Partnership Centers, hosted a meeting with several dozen faith and community based organizations and representatives from Veterans and military family support organizations.

Over 800 people participated in a Department of Labor (DOL) conference call for faith and community leaders on new job training grant competitions. Four of the ten grants are currently open, with the competition closing in March or April. The remaining six grants will be announced in the coming weeks.

A National Mentoring Summit, as part of National Mentoring Month, will be held at the Library of Congress. First Lady Michelle Obama, Cabinet Secretaries, Federal Agencies and many more will convene for this day-long event, including the announcement of a Corporate Mentoring Challenge.
