Subcommittee on Ocean Science and Technology
In 2007, SOST published Charting the Course for Ocean Science in the United States for the Next Decade: An Ocean Research Priorities Plan and Implementation Strategy (ORPPIS). In 2013, SOST updated these priorities in Science for an Ocean Nation: Update of the Ocean Research Priorities Plan. Substantial community input to the development of Science for an Ocean Nation was collected via Dear Colleague letter, Federal Register Notice, and four town hall events at national meetings, allowing members of the ocean S&T community to contribute to the report.
