Lauren Dunn

Lauren is the Policy Assistant for Urban Affairs and Mobility & Opportunity Policy. Most recently she assisted the work of the Domestic Policy Council (DPC) Director and the Deputy Director and worked closely with the Chief of Staff in the DPC Front Office. Prior to joining the Administration she served as the Special Assistant to the Executive Vice President for Policy at the Center for American Progress, where she was a member of the Faith and Progressive Policy team, a contributor to CampusProgress.org, and helped develop the Half-in-Ten anti-poverty campaign. A graduate of Tufts University and member of Phi Beta Kappa, she started her career at NETWORK, A Catholic Social Justice Lobby, as a lobbying associate for economic equity issues in 2005. At Tufts, she majored in Comparative Religion and was a varsity member of the Women’s Track and Field team and co-captain of the Women’s Cross Country team. In 2008, Lauren was a Rotary International Cultural Ambassadorial Scholar in Quito, Ecuador. Originally from Daytona Beach, Florida, she also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, concentrating in painting, and has experience as a professional arts instructor.
