Council on Women and Girls Weekly Highlights
Welcome to this issue of the White House Council on Women and Girls Newsletter. This week President Obama released the FY2012 federal budget, which stressed the importance of living within our means so we can invest in our future. Later in the week, the President visited Intel in Portland where he focused on the pivotal role education and technology will play in growing our economy. President Obama also honored the 2010 recipients of the Medal of Freedom, while Vice President and Dr. Biden reached out to members of our military and their families.
