El Presidente Obama hace declaraciones sobre la inmigración

En declaraciones desde el Jardín de Rosas, el Presidente Obama se refirió a una nueva directriz del Departamento de Seguridad Nacional que ayuda a hacer que la política sobre inmigración del país sea más justa y más eficaz, eliminando la amenaza de deportación para jóvenes que cumplen criterios que los hacen bajas prioridades para la aplicación de la ley.

El dijo:

Durante los próximos meses, las personas elegibles que no planteen un riesgo a la seguridad nacional ni a la seguridad pública podrán solicitar alivio temporal de los procesos de deportación y tramitar su autorización para trabajar.
 
Bueno, quiero que quede claro: esto no es una amnistía, no es inmunidad.  No es un camino a la ciudadanía.  Ni es una solución permanente.  Es una medida temporal de freno que nos permite concentrar nuestros recursos de la mejor manera al tiempo que se le da cierto grado de alivio y esperanza a gente joven que tiene talento, empuje y patriotismo.
