Dan Pfeiffer
White House Communications Director

Dan Pfeiffer joined the White House as Deputy Communications Director in January 2009 and has served as the Director of Communications since December 2009. Pfeiffer first joined the President’s campaign as the Traveling Press Secretary and later became the Communications Director. Prior to working on the campaign, Pfeiffer was a spokesman for former Vice President Al Gore and has also worked for Senators Tim Johnson, Tom Daschle and Evan Bayh.

A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Pfeiffer graduated from Georgetown University.
