According to early estimates from the Kaiser Family Foundation, insurance companies will provide 15.8 million Americans with $1.3 billion in rebates.

Posted by on May 3, 2012 at 11:22 PM EDTEarly notification of potential disruptions in drug supply has made a huge difference in FDA's efforts: There has been a six-fold increase in early notifications from manufacturers, and they have been able to prevent 128 drug shortages, and we’re seeing fewer numbers of shortages occur – 42 new drugs in shortage reported in 2012, compared to 90 new shortages at this time last year.
