Nosheen Hydari, AMFT, is a crisis therapist for the Emergency Services On-Call team at Community Counseling Centers of Chicago (C4). C4 is a leading community mental health agency in Illinois, providing a comprehensive range of mental health services, crisis intervention and substance use treatment to more than 10,000 low-income children, adults, and families each year. In her role at C4, Nosheen provides crisis assessments for hundreds of children and adults in severe psychiatric distress, many of whom are victims and/or perpetrators of violent acts.

Germain Castellanos is Program Director for the SHINE Educational Leadership Program, a workforce development program serving over 300 at-risk youth at Waukegan High School—where the student population is over 70% Latino—since 2008. Germain’s commitment to service was first recognized when he was honored with the title of AmeriCorps Member of the Year in 2005 for his service as a Youth Developer at Youth Conservation Corps in Waukegan, and has continued through his founding of the SHINE Program.

A Rhodes Scholar and West Point graduate, Erica Borggren currently serves as the Director of the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs (IDVA). There, she spearheaded the creation of Illinois Joining Forces (IJF), a statewide public-private network of nearly 200 organizations working together to serve service members, veterans, and their families better; a nationally awarded program, IJF serves to create a collaborative, “no wrong door” system of military and veteran support.
