President, Mott Community College

Dr. M. Richard (Dick) Shaink has been President of Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan since 2000.  During that time, he has worked to improve student success, retention and degree completion.  In 2010, he received the Association of Community College Trustees’ CEO of the Year Award.  On September 13th, Mott Community College was selected as one of ten finalists for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Dr. Shaink is a past president of the National Council for Workforce Education and is most proud of the Associate Degree he received from Jackson Community College (Jackson, MI).
