Van Sickle is the co-founder and CEO of Reciprocal Labs, a company based out of Madison, Wisconsin, dedicated to developing new tools for public health and research, like Asthmapolis. Asthmapolis is developing new ways to improve asthma management and lower costs through remote asthma monitoring, education and analytics. By tracking the use of inhalers (through a device on the inhaler called a Spiroscout), the technology contributes to the public health understanding of the connections between asthma and where environmental triggers may be greater in some locations.
