In the morning, the President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.
Later in the morning, the President will meet with senior advisors. This meeting in the Oval Office is closed press.
In the morning, the Vice President will travel to Danbury, Connecticut. At 12:30 PM, the Vice President will deliver remarks at a conference on gun violence at Western Connecticut State University hosted by Senator Richard Blumenthal, Senator Chris Murphy, and Representative Elizabeth Esty. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will also attend and deliver remarks. Prior to the Vice President’s remarks, the conference will include panel discussions on ways to reduce gun violence, protect our kids, and make our communities safer, and will include national, state, and local leaders, law enforcement, mental health experts, sportsmen, faith leaders, families and survivors of gun violence. This event is open press.
In the afternoon, the Vice President will return to Washington, DC.
Later, the President will record radio interviews with Al Sharpton, Joe Madison and Yolanda Adams in the Oval Office. These interviews will be closed press.
