Readout of Vice President Biden’s Meeting with Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong

Vice President Biden met this morning with People’s Republic of China Vice Premier Liu Yandong.  The two discussed the Vice President’s upcoming visit to Beijing in December and a wide range of bilateral, regional, and global issues, including China’s recently-announced reform agenda.  The Vice President and Vice Premier discussed the importance of increasing practical cooperation between our governments and promoting closer ties between the American and Chinese people.
