Paul was born with hemophilia, so his experience with health insurance has been a “lifelong endeavor.” Recently, he had been enrolled in a policy with a lifetime cap and had been concerned about reaching the maximum limit for care. He was considering changing jobs or moving to another state to find coverage. But provisions in the Affordable Care Act eliminated lifetime limits and also placed restrictions on annual limits.
