I want to talk to you straight for a second.

Today, I'm joining FLOTUS -- yes, THE First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama -- to kick off #BetterMakeRoom, a campaign for her Reach Higher initiative.

Because, listen up adults, kids these days are ready to make their debut and make their mark on the world.

I mean, let's be honest, at 17 I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. But I knew I wanted to do something creative, I wanted to make people laugh. Tidewater Community College gave me the boost I needed to put me on a path to where I am today.

Now don't just sit back. There's something every one of you can do -- right now -- to help make education a reality for more people. Here's what that is:

Show your support for young folks on your social media channels using #BetterMakeRoom. Tell them what you wish someone would have told you when you were 14. Consider it a pep talk in 140 characters. Tell them to go visit BetterMakeRoom.org and let them know their voice should be heard.

This generation is eager to make their own mark on the world and we need to make sure they get the education they need to help them do just that.

And together, we can tell the world: You better make room. Because these young people are going to do big things.

Let's inspire these kids to dream even bigger, reach even higher.

Watch out world!

Jay Pharoah
