President Donald J. Trump visited Joint Base Andrews in Prince George’s Country, Maryland on Friday to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the United States Air Force and to thank the men and women of the Air Force for their devotion to our Nation. He expressed his confidence in addressing threats worldwide after touring the facility and seeing their capacities first hand.
“America and our allies will never be intimidated,” the President declared.
President Trump started his speech stating his “heart and prayers go out to the people of London” who suffered from a terrible act of terrorism earlier that day. He spoke with Prime Minister Theresa May in the morning and relayed his deepest sympathies. During his speech, he spoke about his determination to eradicate radical Islamic terrorists from the entirety of the planet.
The President also went on to describe “how resilient, strong, and truly united we are” after his recent visit to Florida. “When Americans are in need, Americans come together,” he stated. He spoke highly of the Air Force personnel who had travelled to Florida in the wake of the storm to offer lifesaving assistance.
President Trump expressed his pride in the men and women of the United States Air Force. “Our air superiority is unquestionable not because we have the best equipment, but because we have the best people by far.”
“Each of you is a living, breathing symbol of our great Nation,” the President declared. “Nothing inspires more confidence in our friends or incites more fear in our enemies,” he said as he went on to assure them that together they will shape tomorrow’s world with the “strength and skill of American hands.”
President Trump concluded his speech by thanking the men and women of the United States Air Force for their dedication to their country and wished the United States Air Force a happy 70th birthday.
“I am always on your wing,” the President said. “Thank you for keeping America proud, strong, safe, and free.”
