Thursday, President Donald J. Trump hosted a working lunch in New York with Prime Minister Shinzō Abe of Japan and President Moon Jae-in of the Republic of Korea. The three leaders continued the 72nd United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) by discussing North Korea's aggressive actions - including its two recent missile launches and nuclear test - and the clear growing threats to their countries as well as the rest of the world. The leaders are dedicated to the full implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2375 along with mobilizing all available means to maximize pressure on North Korea. They are calling on all leaders to join in on this action against North Korea's provocative actions and note this growing threat will only draw our nations closer together. President Moon Jae-in and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said they will continue to coordinate in preparation of President Trump's visit to Japan and Republic of Korea later this year.
