Vice President Mike Pence traveled to Buffalo, New York, on Tuesday to talk about the Administration’s America first tax relief plan with local businesses, community leaders, and families. The current tax code is broken and burdensome on American taxpayers and job-creators. The new plan will provide middle-class tax relief by permanently reducing tax rates, restoring the competitive edge of American businesses by lowering the corporate tax rate, eliminating loopholes and reducing paperwork to one page, making the tax code simple, easy, and fair, and returning trillions of dollars in wealth parked overseas to the American economy.

Prime Minister of Greece Visits the White House
On Tuesday afternoon, President Trump welcomed the Prime Minister of Greece, Alexis Tsipras, to the White House. After a working luncheon, the two leaders held a joint press conference in the Rose Garden. Both leaders remarked on the strong, historic relationship that Greece and the United States share.
“A strong and flourishing Greece provides immense opportunity for American trade, investment, and job creation,” said President Trump.
Prime Minister Tsipras expressed his gratitude for the invitation to the White House and spoke of the nations’ relationship in light of recent and historical partnerships. “Today, our strategy is based on mutual respect, and it is fed by the significant support provided by the U.S. to Greece and to the Greek people during the hard times of the economic crisis,” he said.

Today, President Trump recieved his daily intelligence briefng and spoke with Governor Kim Reynolds of Iowa by telephone. Later, the President participated in a meeting with the bipartisan group of Senators from the Senate Finance Committee to discuss the tax cuts and reform, and stressed the urgent need to deliver tax relief to the American people.
On Friday, First Lady Melania Trump will be joined by designer Hervé Pierre at the Smithsonian to present her inauguration gown as the newest addition to the nearly 100-year old First Ladies Collection.
