The Schedule

In the morning, the President will travel to New York, New York. The departure from the South Lawn is open press, and the arrival at the John F. Kennedy International Airport is open to pre-credentialed media.

While in New York, the President will participate in a roundtable discussion with young people and deliver remarks at an event at Lehman College launching the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, a new non-profit organization. There will be a pool spray at the bottom of the roundtable discussion, and the President’s remarks are pooled for TV and open to pre-credentialed stills and correspondents.

Later in the afternoon, the President will tape an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman. There will be a stills only pool spray of this taping.

Afterward, the President will attend a DNC event followed by a DNC roundtable. There will be print pool coverage of the President’s remarks at the DNC event, and the roundtable is closed press.

As a part of Discovery Education’s “Of the People" webinar series, students from around the country will join to discuss new efforts to strengthen learning opportunities by improving access to digital reading content and public libraries.
