Today, Vice President Kamala Harris hosted voting rights and civil rights leaders to discuss the critical importance of protecting the right to vote. The meeting was an opportunity for the Vice President to hear directly from leaders representing diverse constituencies about the work they are doing on the ground to mobilize their networks and combat voter suppression. The Vice President reaffirmed the President’s and her support for the For the People Act which would expand Americans’ access to the ballot box, as well as the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act which would restore the full protections of the Voting Rights Act.
