Vice President Kamala Harris met jointly today with Prime Minister Scott Morrison of Australia and Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga of Japan.  The Vice President, Prime Minister Morrison and Prime Minister Suga discussed ways in which the United States, Australia and Japan can deepen and expand our partnership to meet the challenges of the 21st century, especially in the Indo-Pacific region.  The Vice President and the prime ministers discussed their mutual efforts to end the pandemic and improve public health resilience, combat the climate crisis, and bolster supply chain security for critical goods such as semiconductors.  They also affirmed the importance of shared democratic values and their shared commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
