President Joseph R. Biden, Jr., met today with Prime Minister Kaja Kallas of Estonia. The President expressed his appreciation for the Prime Minister’s leadership in joining consensus on the OECD Inclusive Framework on the taxation of multinational companies. The leaders discussed their cooperation on global challenges, including climate change. They also talked about continued close bilateral defense ties and ongoing work to strengthen NATO’s deterrence and defense posture. The President noted Estonia’s valuable contributions to defend democracy and human rights across the globe, including at the UN Security Council. He also conveyed his support for Prime Minister Kallas’ efforts to promote trusted connectivity and high-standards infrastructure investment in Europe and around the world.
