Today, the United States hosted high-level government and industry representatives from the European Commission, India, Japan, and the Republic of Korea (ROK) in San Diego to discuss biopharmaceutical supply chain resilience.  On the U.S. side, the delegation was led by senior White House officials alongside the State Department, and they were joined by representatives from the Department of Health and Human Services including the Food and Drug Administration, the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) and the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) and the Department of Commerce.

The coalition participants affirmed the national and economic security imperatives of building trusted, resilient, and sustainable biopharmaceutical supply chains.  Toward this end, they discussed opportunities for governments and the private sector to deepen cooperation on policy, regulations, research and development capabilities, and other tools to enhance the resilience of this vital sector.
