Internships and Legal Clerkships

The Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) coordinates federal environmental efforts and works closely with federal agencies and other White House offices in the development of environmental policies and initiatives. CEQ is also responsible for ensuring that Federal agencies operate in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  The challenge of harmonizing our economic, environmental, and social aspirations has put NEPA and CEQ at the forefront of our Nation's efforts to protect the environment.

CEQ accepts applications for its internship and legal clerkship programs.  Please direct any questions about the CEQ internship or legal clerkship program to internships@ceq.eop.gov.

Note: the White House has a zero-tolerance policy for drug use.  Interns will be required to take a drug test prior to beginning an internship.  Failure to pass the drug test will result in immediate disqualification.
