Katherine Pantangco served as a Policy Advisor for the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs where she was a liaison between the White House and state and local elected officials on immigration, border issues, and other Administration priorities. Pantangco formerly served as Deputy Director of Immigration Services for then-Senator Kamala D. Harris. In this capacity, she handled immigrant affairs and assisted Californians on issues involving the Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, and Department of Justice. Prior to joining Senator Harris’ team, Pantangco worked at the ACLU of Northern California in various capacities working on criminal justice reform and immigration issues. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and is active in the Filipino-American arts, education, and dance community. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco where she earned a B.A. in Sociology. In April 2022, she was named one of Public Policy and International Affairs’ 40 Alumni Changemakers.
