First Meeting of the President’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis

The first Commission meeting was held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until approximately 2:30 p.m. (Eastern Time). The meeting took place at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in the Executive Office of the President in Washington, DC. The meeting was open to the public through livestreaming on https://www.whitehouse.gov/live. Second Meeting of the President’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis

The second Commission meeting was held via teleconference on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. (Eastern time). During the meeting, the Commission reviewed its draft interim report, which is available for viewing below.

Third Meeting of the President’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis

The third Commission meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 12:30 pm until approximately 2:30 pm (Eastern time). The meeting will be held at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, Room 350, in the Executive Office of the President in Washington, DC. It will be open to the public through livestreaming on https://www.whitehouse.gov/live. The meeting will consist of statements to the Commission from invited government, nonprofit, and business organizations regarding Innovative Pain Management and Prevention Measures for Diversion followed by discussion of the issues raised.

Fourth Meeting of the President’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis

The fourth Commission meeting will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 11:00 am until approximately 1:00 pm (Eastern time). The meeting will be held at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, Room 350, in the Executive Office of the President in Washington, DC. It will be open to the public through livestreaming on https://www.whitehouse.gov/live. The meeting will consist of discussion regarding insurance issues related to the opioid epidemic.

Fifth Meeting of the President’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis

The fifth Commission meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 1:30 pm until approximately 3:30 pm (Eastern time). The meeting will be held at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, Room 350, in the Executive Office of the President in Washington, DC. It will be open to the public through livestreaming on https://www.whitehouse.gov/live. The meeting will consist of personal stories regarding addiction and discussion of and voting on the Commission’s Final Report, which will be posted below shortly before the meeting.
