Today, the co-chairs of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) released the following statement after President Biden announced his intent to nominate Dr. Arati Prabhakar to serve as Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), and once confirmed to this position, also as Assistant to the President for Science and Technology and as co-chair of PCAST.

“I could not be more pleased by the nomination of Arati Prabhakar for this critical role,” said Dr. Frances Arnold, Co-Chair, the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. “Her deep experience and leadership skills will contribute to ensuring the United States maintains its preeminent position in science and technology in the coming decades.”
