President Donald J. Trump today announced his intent to nominate the following individual to a key position in his Administration:
John Lowry III of Illinois, to be the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans Employment and Training, Department of Labor.
Mr. Lowry is a consultant with Egon Zehnder and heads the firm’s U.S. supply chain and operations practice. Previously, he served as the COO of the Allied Recreation Group and a senior leader at Harley-Davidson. Mr. Lowry began his career as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps where he spent more than 15 years on active duty and an additional 10 years in the Marine Corps Reserve. His military awards include the Legion of Merit and Combat Action Ribbon. Mr. Lowry currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Marine Corps Association & Foundation and is also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. Mr. Lowry earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and multiple master’s degrees from Stanford University, Harvard Business School, and the U.S. Army War College.

Mark E. Keenum of Mississippi, to be a member and, upon appointment, Designate Chair of the Board for International Food and Agricultural Development for the remainder of a four year term expiring July 28, 2020.
Richard L. Lackey of Colorado, to be a member of the Board for International Food and Agricultural Development for the remainder of a four year term expiring July 28, 2020.
Heshie Billet of New York, upon the recommendation of the President Pro Tempore Orrin Hatch, to be a member of the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad for the remainder of a three year term expiring August 17, 2019.
William Fehrman of Iowa, to be a member of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council.
