Statement by the Press Secretary

On Monday, December 20, 2010, the President signed into law:
 
S. 3817, the “CAPTA Reauthorization Act of 2010,” which reauthorizes through FY 2015 and makes changes to the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act and related programs to prevent and treat child abuse and family violence, eliminate barriers to permanent adoption, and address the circumstances that lead to child abandonment.
