Readout of Vice President Biden’s Call With Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff

The Vice President spoke with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff today about the importance of achieving an ambitious climate agreement at the upcoming 21st Conference of the Parties climate change summit that will be held in Paris, France from November 30‎th to December 11th. The Vice President underscored the significance of Brazilian leadership in the talks and both leaders stated their strong commitment to reach a forward-looking climate change agreement that can serve as a blueprint for a lasting solution to this global challenge. In addition, they discussed a range of political and economic issues related to global events as well as recent developments in the Western Hemisphere.
