This year, the White House holiday theme is ‘Gather Around’ in celebration of the stories and traditions that bring people together at this time of year. Over the course of the season, the President and First Lady will welcome 70,000 visitors to tour the "People’s House" and take in the holiday decorations. For the first time, we’re hosting a Holiday Google+ Hangout to open the doors of the White House to even more people can "gather around" virtually from around the country.

On Thursday, December 19 at 12:30 p.m. ET, you're invited to take a peek through a Google+ Hangout. During this live event from the State Floor, White House pastry chef Bill Yosses and florist Laura Dowling will discuss this year's décor and answer questions from young people around the country. We look forward to seeing you!

Got a question? Post it now on Google+ or use #WHHangout on Twtter. Then, be sure to tune-in live on Thursday, December 19, at 12:30 p.m. ET at WhiteHouse.gov/Holidays or on Google+.
