    A year after the President announced his Climate Action Plan -- a comprehensive plan to cut carbon pollution, prepare the U.S. for the impacts of climate change, and lead international efforts to combat global climate change -- the Administration has made real progress in advancing the goals in the plan.

    First-quarter GDP was revised down today, largely reflecting a re-estimation of consumer spending on health care, which was substantially lower than originally reported, as well as exports, which were below the initial estimates.

    Today marks the 70th anniversary of the Servicemen’s Readjustment Act of 1944. The landmark legislation was also commonly called the GI Bill of Rights and today, after the passage of successive GI Bills following the Korean War, Vietnam and most recently, the post 9/11 version; is now known simply as the GI Bill.
