HISTORIC TAX RELIEF FOR FAMILY FARMS
President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) made the virtual elimination of the death tax permanent, benefiting more than 2 million family farms.
The OBBB’s increased Section 179 small business expensing limits allow farmers to immediately write off new equipment and land improvements, freeing up capital for growth.
The 20% small business tax deduction is now permanent, allowing farmers to keep more of their income and reinvest in their operations.
Farmers can now defer paying capital gains taxes when selling their farmland to another farmer who will keep the land in agricultural use.
EXPANDING MARKETS FOR AMERICAN AGRICULTURE
The OBBB provides an additional $285 million to expand export opportunities and promote American-grown crops abroad.
Through trade deals secured under President Trump’s leadership, more than $60 billion in U.S. agricultural purchases have been committed, with deals covering over 40% of all U.S. agricultural exports.
The SBA expanded eligibility for its International Trade Loan (ITL) program, allowing agricultural businesses to access ITL loans with a 90% SBA guarantee – empowering them with new financing to expand production, increase the supply of domestic agricultural goods, and cut grocery prices for consumers.
CUTTING RED TAPE, LOWERING COSTS
EPA’s Right to Repair Guidance gives American farmers the confidence to lawfully repair their equipment, saving farmers $33,000 per repair.
EPA’s August 2025 Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Guidance reversed deratements that were harming farmers and truckers, saving family farms $727 million per year.
EPA’s March 2026 DEF Sensor Guidance removed faulty sensor requirements and instead allows farmers the option to use more reliable sensors, saving farmers billions annually.
BOOSTING FARM INCOME THROUGH ENERGY
The EPA issued a temporary emergency fuel waiver to allow nationwide sales of E15 in order to fortify the domestic gasoline supply chain and provide Americans relief at the pumps ahead of the upcoming summer driving season.
The EPA finalized the historic RFS “Set 2” final rule, which sets the highest renewable fuel volumes in the history of the program – projected to generate over $10 billion for rural economies and create over 100,000 new jobs in the agricultural and manufacturing sectors.
The OBBB amended the 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit to incentivize domestic fuel production that uses American-grown feedstocks.
SUPPORTING FARMERS AND RURAL COMMUNITIES
The Trump Administration has delivered over $40 billion in direct assistance to our farmers and ranchers, helping them recover from years of unfair foreign trade practices and the disastrous policies of the Biden administration.
This includes $12 billion in economic assistance through the Farmer Bridge Assistance (FBA) program.
