CANCER MOONSHOT GOALS FORUM

The White House Cancer Moonshot Goals Forum provided an opportunity for the private sector, foundations, academic institutions, healthcare providers, and Americans to discuss the very latest efforts to reduce the deadly impact of cancer and improve patient experiences in the diagnosis, treatment, and survival of cancer across the seven pillars of how we know cancer today. The event included leadership from members of the Cancer Cabinet – the realization of the President’s vision for a whole-of-government approach to ending cancer as we know which brings together agency and department leadership from across the Biden-Harris Administration — including White House Office of Science and Technology head Dr. Alondra Nelson, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Denis McDonough along with leadership from the White House and the U.S. Departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services.  President Biden re-ignited the Cancer Moonshot in February, and identified it in his State of the Union address as part of a Unity Agenda for the nation.
