Deputy Director of Macroeconomic Forecasting
The Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) is seeking a Deputy Director of Macroeconomic Forecasting.
Major Duties:
- Coordinates with and utilizes the work of CEA economists.
- Contributes to CEA’s work in developing the Administration’s economic assumptions and forecast underlying the annual budget by helping to design and execute a research plan studying the macroeconomic effects of Federal spending, tax, and regulatory policies in coordination with officials at the Treasury Department, Department of Commerce, Department of Labor, and Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
- Identifies, defines, and selects specific financial and economic developments for study and for providing counsel and recommendations to the Council and economists based on the findings from the research.
- Formulates and carries out studies in the major areas of economic research in relation to the CEA’s program and needs and for developing and presenting findings and recommendations to support these results.
