Grants to fight veteran homelessness.
The Trump Administration announced more than $7.5 million across two grants to organizations in Hawaii to help veterans who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless.
The grants to United States Veterans Initiative and Catholic Charities Hawaii will be used to help veterans access housing/housing counseling, healthcare, financial planning services, childcare, legal assistance, and transportation.
VA Pacific IslandsUpgrades for the Honolulu VA.
The Trump Administration realigned $800 million for the Veterans Health Administration’s Non-Recurring Maintenance program. The Honolulu VA Medical Center will use funds for infrastructure projects such as:
Modernizing generator systems; upgrading the center’s aging HVAC system; repairing minor condition deficiencies in the ambulatory care clinic; and renovating a kitchen.
