Congressional Bills H.R. 1276, H.R. 2069, H.R. 2196 and H.R. 5366 Signed into Law
On Friday, September 11, 2026, the President signed into law:
H.R. 1276, which directs the Department of the Interior to remove all deed restriction from an approximately 3.62-acre parcel of land conveyed from the Department to the City of Paducah, Kentucky;
H.R. 2069, the “Stop Secret Spending Act of 2025,” which expands Federal spending transparency requirements to include other transaction agreements, and to modify related standards, oversight, and reporting;
H.R. 2196, the “National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Extension Act,” which extends the authority of the National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Foundation to establish a commemorative work on Federal lands in the District of Columbia to commemorate the commitment and service represented by emergency medical services personnel; and
H.R. 5366, the “Doug LaMalfa Federal Disaster Tax Relief Certainty Act,” which extends and codifies the Federal tax deduction for qualified disaster-related personal casualty losses and the exclusion from gross income of qualified wildfire relief payments.
