Erica Loewe serves as Special Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff for the Office of Public Engagement. Erica was previously President Biden’s Director of African American Media. Prior to joining the Biden-Harris Administration, she was Deputy Communications Director to House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn (SC-6) and Press Secretary for the House Financial Services Committee under the leadership of Chairwoman Maxine Waters (CA-43).

Before working in Congress, Erica served as Director at a public affairs firm, where she worked closely with government and public relations clients to develop and execute strategic messaging that advanced their priorities.

Erica has a wealth of experience in stakeholder outreach targeting diverse populations, including in her capacity supporting a former Congressional Black Caucus Executive Director, White House Director of African American Outreach during the Obama Administration and the National African American Vote Director for the 2012 Presidential Inaugural Committee.

She is a graduate of the University of Florida.
