Kate Balcerzak is the Special Assistant to the President and Director of Partnerships and Private Sector Engagement in the Office of Public Engagement. In this role, Kate works with the business community, including trade associations, chambers of commerce, and small businesses, as well as philanthropic organizations. Previously, she worked in government affairs and public policy for PepsiCo where she represented the company with U.S. lawmakers, the diplomatic community, and NGO leaders. During the Obama-Biden Administration, Kate served at the U.S. Department of State where she advanced foreign policy goals with private sector and civil society stakeholders in over 160 countries. She began her career with then-Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential and senate campaigns. A native of Maryland with family roots in Scranton, PA, she holds an MBA from the University of Maryland Smith School of Business and is a graduate of Fordham University.
