Khanya Brann

Khanya Brann is the Senior Communications Advisor for the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. Khanya is on detail from the Environmental Protection Agency, where she served as Deputy Press Secretary. Khanya first joined the Biden-Harris Administration as Senior Communications Assistant and Special Assistant to the Communications Director, and later became Chief of Staff to the White House Office of Communications.
Khanya served as Pennsylvania Communications Associate on the Biden-Harris campaign, having joined in the campaign during the primary season as a communications intern. Khanya also served as a communications fellow for Philly Counts 2020, which was the Mayor of Philadelphia’s initiative to support community outreach for the 2020 U.S. Census. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Khanya received her B.A. in Journalism and Spanish from Temple University, and considers Philadelphia a second home.
