Rose Petoskey
Director of Tribal Affairs and Senior Advisor To the White House Office of INtergovernmental Affairs
Rose Nimkiins Petoskey serves as Director of Tribal Affairs and Senior Advisor to the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs for the Biden-Harris Administration. Rose is from Michigan and is an enrolled Tribal member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians. Previously, she served as Senior Counselor to the Assistant Secretary — Indian Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior. At the Department of the Interior, Rose’s portfolio included issue areas such as treaty and reserved rights, public safety and justice, self-governance, and Alaska Native affairs. Prior to coming to the Department of the Interior, Rose served as a Managing Associate in the Native American Law and Policy Practice at Dentons US LLP in Washington, D.C. where she focused on Indian lands, economic development, and environmental matters. Rose is a graduate of Michigan State University and Cornell University Law School.
