Iisis chestnut

Iisis Chestnut serves as Policy Advisor for the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. She is on rotation from the Office of Recapitalization at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). At HUD, she works on resident engagement and protections for the Rental Assistance Demonstration program (RAD). Previously, Iisis has served as a Housing Policy Fellow for Strong Future Maryland and as a Summer Fellow at the Montgomery County Council’s Office of Racial Equity and Social Justice. She also served as a congressional intern through the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation.
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Iisis holds a Master of Public Policy with a concentration in Social Policy from the University of Maryland College Park and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Morgan State University. She currently resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland, with her maltese, Zeus.
